Artist Biography: Baptized in Brussels 11 January 1632. Died in Paris 15 October 1690. Worked first in Brussels. To Paris in 1665 for the Gobelins factory. In charge of tapestry designs honoring Louis XIV. Accompanied the king on trips and in wars. 1673 member of the French Academy. Painted in Versailles and the HÙtel des Invalides.
