Artist Biography: Studied architecture under Despradelle at MIT and received a Master of Science Degree in 1912. Practiced as an architect in New York until joining the Navy in 1916. Upon his discharge in 1919 decided to take up printmaking as a career. He was dedicated to rendering architecture, particularly Gothic in his work and travelled extensively in the 20s and 30s in Europe and again after WW II during which he visited Mexico.Many of his works are grouped as 'Series', eg. the 'Spanish Church Series'.He died of Hodgkin's Disease in 1953 at the age of sixty-six.~~Reference: Fletcher, William Dolan.
