Artist Biography: Attended courses by Hyppolyte Flandin at the Beaux-Arts, Lyons.~Exhibited his work at the Salon in 1851~Moved to Mexico in the 1850s and set up a photographic studio.~Aubert photographed French, Belgian and Austrian Officers and followed the imperial troops. He recorded events surrounding the deposition and death of Maximilian.~Left Mexico at uncertain date.~Died in France~~~Reference: Photographers Encyclopaedia International 1839 to the present, M & M Auer (Geneva: Editions Camera Obscura, 1985)~
