Artist Biography: Born inMilan and studied at the Accademia de Brera, Milan while reading for a degree in law. In 1951 he helped to found the Movimento Nucleare and in 1953 he founded the Mouvement International pour une Bauhaus Imagiste. In the late 1950s he began the series of fantastic and imaginative collages for which he is chiefly known. (Oxford Companion)
