Artist Biography: Born in Verona in the 16th century. Probably a brother of Giovanna Battista Fontana for whom he engraved prints. Few known works by Giulio Fontana, all after Titian See Sixteenth Century Italian Prints by Marcus Sopher (Claremont, CA: Pomona College, 1978) page 57 for background on the relationship;~Not in the Getty database in 1996.
