Artist Biography: Etienne Delaune, draughtsman and engraver, born Orleans, France in 1518, died at Strassbourg, France in 1595. Worked with Benvenuto Cellini during that celebrated artist's sojourn in Paris. Delaune made many of the engravings after the works of the older masters, Marc-Antonio Raimondi, Michel Angelo, etc., and was a considerable influence on the minor German masters of the 16th century.
