Artist Biography: Born in Udine on 15 October 1487. Died in Rome in 1564. Pupil of Giorgione in Venice, then in the atelier of Raphael, worked for Clement VIII with Perino del Vaga. Returned to Udine after the sack of Rome in 1527, then to Florence for the Medicis, returned to Rome under Pius IV.
