Artist Biography: Called il Fiammenghino. Born in Milan about 1561. Died there after 1627. Painter of frescoes in the churches around Milan. Worked with his brother, Giovanni Mauro della Rovere (ca. 1575-1640), also called il Fiammenghino. Their father, Giovanni, born in Antwerp ca. 1533, settled in Milan at an early age.
