Artist Biography: Giovanni Battista Naldini di Matteo, called Battista degli Innocenti.Born in Florence 1537.Pupil of Jacopo Carrucci and Angelo Bronzino. In Rome under Pope Gregory XIII. Worked for 14 years on the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence under Giorgio Vasari. Died in Florence 1591.
