Artist Biography: Engraver, etcher; born in Naples 19 June 1758, studied there with father Filippo and uncle Giovanni Elia .1778 to Rome, studiedwith Giovanni Volpato, whose daughter Domenica he married 1781.1793 called to Florence by the Grand Dukes of Tuscany. Remained there for the rest of his life. Died in Florence 8 April 1833.
