Artist Biography: Painter and architect. Born in Pesaro. Pupil of Zuccaro, follower of the Barocci. 1575 to Rome. Died in 1620, under the pontificate of Paul V. Name also spelled Trombetta. Probably not the same artist as Niccolo de Martinelli, called Trombetta, a painter from Pesaro who died in Rome in 1611.
