Artist Biography: Engraver and etcher, worked in mezzotint. Born Vienna 1654. In 1720 he was entrusted to reproduce in mezzotint the imperial collection of paintings for the archduke Leopold. This task interrupted after completion of the 31st plate by the death of the archduke, followed by that of the artist. These prints, reproductions of the most illustrious masters, have become extremely rare.
