Artist Biography: Engraver, born in Florence ca. 1725-1728 (authorities disagree re his birth date), worked in Joseph Wagner's shop in Venice from 1745, becoming his principal collaborator. Worked independently in Venice until leaving for Rome in 1760. Settled in London in 1764, moved to Lisbon 1802, where he died on 7 March 1815. See: Lazzaro, Claudia.
