Artist Biography: Born in Berlin 26 July 1893. Prominent in Berlin DADA group and in 1920*s a leader of Neue Sachlichkeit movement. First American show in 1931. Invited to USA in 1932. Settled in America in 1933, became an American citizen in 1938. Returned to Berlin in 1959. Died in Berlin 6 July 1959. (U.S. citizen 1938)
