Artist Biography: Born 9 June 1573 in Duffel (Brabant). Pupil of Jan Wierix and Jan Vredeman de Vries. Active in Malines, Antwerp, Brussels, Cologne, Paris and London. Admitted to the guild in The Hague 1597. died in The Hague ca. 1649.~~Reference: Hollstein, Vol. IX, pp. 85 ff.~
