Artist Biography: Born in Rheims; Studied under the engraver Regneson; moved to Paris in 1647; became highly esteemed in Paris and made many portraits of Louis XIV and other notables; he was named the King's engraver and received an annual pension in 1959; died in Paris on 9 December, 1678;
