Artist Biography: Born in Fareins, France on 1 April 1828. Journalist, caricaturist, playwright, lithographer, photographer. Studied photography with Pierre Petit 1858. 1862-1863 Le PantthÈon Paris. Studio from 1862/4 through 1970*s. Published Galerie des cÈlÈbritÈs contemporaines 1869, collaborated on Paris-The‚tre series 1872. Died in Duboiss 1906.
