Artist Biography: Born in 1565 in Antwerp. Pupil of his father, Jacob de Gheyn I, studied with Hendrik Goltzius in Haarlem 1585-1587; active in Amsterdam, Leiden, The Hague. Died in The Hague 29 March 1629.~~Reference: Hollstein, Volume VII, pp. 109 ff.~
