Artist Biography: Born in Kure, Hiroshima Prefecture. Graduated 1936 from Scu;pture Dept., Tokyo Art School. Known widely as a sculptor and printmaker; founding member of Zokei Hanga Kyokai in 1937, member of Japan Print Society.
