Artist Biography: Born San Andreas, CA 13 Nov. 1866. Graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Architecture. Opened architectural office in San Francisco 1898. Designed numerous buildings in San Francisco, including St. Francis Hotel, Bank of America, American Trust Bdg., Geary Theater, etc. Friend and painting colleague of Arthur and Lucia Mathews. Died in Sausalito 15 December 1947.
