Artist Biography: (none) PROVENANCE: "Collected by Thomas Schultze-Westrum in 1966." (Catalog #469, New Guinea Art: Masterpieces from the Jolika Collection of Marcia and John Friede, 2005, Volume 2, p. 163.) PUBLICATIONS: 2005 - "This gope was part of a skull shrine (awae) named Paiadai, which had been displayed in a ceremonial house in Omaumere village (Schultze-Westrum, 1972, text to pl. 47).
