Artist Biography: (none) PROVENANCE: Jolika Collection of New Guinea Art PUBLICATIONS: 2005 - "A number of other kunda have been published with faces at the waist. All have bird handles, some raptors, and some hornbills such as this one. Several have been attributed to Parambei. This example is oen of few which lack the customary curvilinear design on the lower portion. See Kelm, 1966, vol. 1, figs. 159 and 161."
