Artist Biography: (none) PROVENANCE: "Collected by Pierre Langlois in Korogopa village in the 1960s." (Catalog #115, New Guinea Art: Masterpieces from the Jolika Collection of Marcia and John Friede, 2005, Volume 2, p. 100.) EXHIBITIONS: 1966 - Galerie Kramer, Paris, 1966. PUBLICATIONS: 2005 - "The left side was chewed by rats. Boar tusk nose ornaments, present when it was collected, are missing. Although collected in the Keram area, the figure seems to have originated near the Sepik delta. It appears to be another example of an old lower Sepik figurative style with bladelike thighs and a huge suspension hole in the back. See pl. 90 from Kopar village." (Catalog #115, New Guinea Art: Masterpieces from the Jolika Collection of Marcia and John Friede, 2005, Volume 2, p. 100.) 1966 - Galerie Kramer, 1966, fig. 74
