Artist Biography: Studied at the University of California at Berkeley, the College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, and the California School of Fine Arts in San Francisco (SFAI). From 1959 to 1990, Neri taught at the California School of Fine Arts, UC Berkeley, and UC Davis. He is the recipient of numerous grants and awards, including a Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship (1979), a National Endowment for the Arts artist grant (1980), and an honorary degree from The Corcoran Gallery of Art (1995). His work has been shown in many solo exhibitions in both museums and private galleries.
