Artist Biography: Born 1921 in Kansas City, Missouri. Studied at St. Paul School of Art with Cameron Booth, then at California School of Fine Arts, San Francisco from 1947 to 1950. Lived in Paris from 1950-1951. Taught at the California School of Fine Arts in 1957; now professor at Stanford University Art Department.
