Artist Biography: (none) PROVENANCE: Jolika Collection of New Guinea Art PUBLICATIONS: 2005 - "This shield is a known type from the region west of Mount Hagen. The fact that its thick patina of pigment has been preserved is very unusual. Other examples that I have seen do not have this thick pigment. All have the same dynamic pattern as this example."
