Artist Biography: (none) PROVENANCE: "Robert Emile Bouchard Collection, Montreuil, France." (Catalog #531, New Guinea Art: Masterpieces from the Jolika Collection of Marcia and John Friede, 2005, Volume 2, p. 177.) PUBLICATIONS: 2005 - "This is a two-piece tip from an arrow; the bone tip is attached to a piece of palm wood, which is normally inserted in a reed shaft. There are also one-piece tips which are inserted directly without a palm wood piece in between. This arrow tip may perhaps be compared with one from the Yupmakcain (Citak) area (see Konrad, Konrad, and Sowada, 2002: 381, pl. 665, right)."
