Artist Biography: Born in Marion, Arkansas 14 July1865. Early years in St. Louis, Little Rock, Texas. Moved to Pasadena 1896. Began etching in 1914. Co-founder with his brother, Howell Chambers Brown, of Printmakers of Los Angeles, predecessor of California Society of Printmakers. Died in Pasadena 19 january 1942.
