Artist Biography: Born in Aomori, Japan; studied at Nihon University in economics, Asagaya Art Academy, Fine Arts (1948-1951), San Francisco Art Institute, Graphics (1960-1963), Brooklyn Museum Art School (1963-1964), Ford Foundation grant for study at Tamarind Lithography Workshop (1968), San Francisco Art Institute, M.F.A.
