Artist Biography: Born 17 March 1846 at Hoxton, died 7 November, 1901 at Hampstead.Kate Greenaway was a painter, engraver and woman of letters. Her work was shown for the first time in 1868. In 1889 she was elected a member of the Royal Institute of watercolorists;
