Artist Biography: 1914: born Almeria, Spain September 14.1921: Moved with family to Brooklyn, New York 1941: Began etching.1940: Received Guggenheim Fellowship.1949: Elected member of the National Academy 1950: Received 2nd Guggenheim Felowship.1968: one man show at the LA County Museum.1971: died in New York, July 29, 1971.
