Artist Biography: Born in Turck, Russian Poland in 1833; died Philadelphia, 1918. Studied drawing and painting in Paris, came to Philadelphia in 1849, continued studies at Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Developed chrome-lithography in his establishment in Philadelphia.
