Artist Biography: Torii (originally Sekiguchi) Shinsuke. Go= Kiyonaga. Painter, printmaker. Born in Uraga. to Edo in 1765. Pupil of Kiyomitsu. On his death, adopted by Torii family. Last major member of the Torii school. Important printmaker from 1781-1788. Few prints after 1790.
