Artist Biography: Born in Riga 1900; lived in St. Petersburg until 1914; served in the Imperial Guard 1916; traveled extensively before setting in Havana in 1924; traveled to Mexico, then Paris where he settled until 1933; moved to Sweden; emigrated to the U.S. in 1947.~~Reference: Johnson, Una and Miller, Jo.
