Artist Biography: Born, 1907, Bavaria, Germany. Education: Brunswick's Real Gymnasium; Heidelberg Odenwaldschule; Willy Jaeckel; Academie Ranson, Paris; Harvard University; State University; State University of Iowa. Wilke has exhibited throughout the United States and Europe. His work is in numerous collections including many private collections i.e., Nelson A. Rockefeller, Mark Tobey, Franklin Watkins, Arthur Wiesenberger. He has received Guggenheim Fellowships, 1959-60 and 1960-61.
