Artist Biography: Mezzotinter and portrait painter; Did some book illustrations, such as 'LIBER STUDIORUM', for J.M.W. Turner, but principally completed mezzotints after such artists as Joshua Reynolds, J.S. Copley and G. Romney. Though known primarily for his mezzotints, Dunkarton did have paintings which were included in Exhibitions of the Royal Academy.
