Artist Biography: Ogata Masanosuke. Go= Gekko, Kagyosai, Meikyosai, Nen yu, Rosai.Listed in Roberts' Dictionary as Ogata Gekko.~Born, lived and died in Tokyo. Painter, printmaker, decorator of pottery and lacquer. founding member of Bunten. Illustrator during the Sino-Japanese war and subsequently for magazines and newspapers.
