Artist Biography: Yanagawa Shigenobu. Family name: Jubei; Go= Kinsai, Raito, Rinsai or Reisai, Ushosai; Born in Yanagawa (name from this); active in Edo and briefly in Osaka. Originally a puppetmaker. ~Pupil, son-in-law and adopted son of Hokusai. After marriage to Hokusai's daughter took Hokusai's go of Raito;~ Book illustrator, designer of surimono, also specialized in bijinga and landscapes.
