Artist Biography: Utagawa Kunimasa. Go= Ichijusai. Born in northern Japan. To Edo. First apprenticed to a dyer. Favorite pupil of Toyokuni. Printmaker until ca. 1805, often collaborating with Toyokuni. After ca. 1805 became a maskmaker.
