Artist Biography: Born about 1600 in Rotterdam. Active 1634-1638 in Delft, 1638-1642 in Amsterdam, 1642-1649 in Rotterdam, after 1649 in Weesp. Buried in Weesp on 13 March 1653. Painter and etcher, especially of marine subjects.
